- I love church planters, partly because it's the drumbeat of the New Testament, and partly because I'm part of the tribe.
- In 2010, I'm proud that Colwood supported Acts 29 planter Jason Martin of The Journey in Austell, GA. Jason is knocking it out of the park and I'm thrilled with what God is doing in and through him.
- In 2011, we are partnering with [RE]new, a church community starting from scratch near Cleveland, Ohio. The video above aired during our Christmas Eve Experiences.
- Below is the highlight video from this morning. Great memories from the year that was:
- Today was about reflecting and celebrating all God did in our midst at Colwood. So many memories, so many God moments.
- Major highlight this morning - praying over Dick Thorp, who joins our staff team this week. Absolutely thrilled and humbled to have a ministry vet of Dick's caliber helping out us young whipper-snappers with pastoral care.
- Here's a dirty little secret: Pastors say 'Yes' alot. And many times when they say 'Yes,' they say 'No' to their family time. Definitely an area I need assistance with in 2011...
- Which is why I'm also excited to have Sherri Hoy coming on-board this week to handle all incoming and outgoing communications. I lovingly call Sherri my new pitbull-with-a-smile: contagiously enthusiastic about our church's vision while fiercely protective of my schedule.
- Our team is staffed with people who love Jesus and love me. In that order.
- If they love Jesus first, they will always speak truth and grace into my life.
- And if they love me, I can trust them to pour into me with cheerleading and correction ("...wounds from a friend can be trusted...").
- Our big vision series kicks off this coming weekend. God has so much in store for us in 2011!
- And finally, one week from Monday, we launch Colwood Students UN1TED.
- The Dan Band is ready to unleash some Foo Fighters and I'm pumped about teaching!
