Anointed.
Not a word I use flippantly.
But its the only biblical way I can wrap my mind
around Easter 2010 at Colwood.
Honestly, I was praying for just 1,000 to show up.
God multiplied our hopes and dreams by five.
I can imagine the Father hearing our prayers and saying,
"Hey, Jesus and Holy Spirit, circle around and watch Me do this!"
THE DIGITS:
5,000+ at Saturday's community party.
850 at Sunday worship experiences.
19 people stood up from their seats and prayed to receive Christ.
It was awesome walking around Saturday morning with nothing to be in charge of. Our Staff and Volunteers had everything mapped out - my role was simply to cheerlead!
Thankful for:
our Staff Team who led with clarity,
135+ Smurfs/Blue Crew volunteers,
& the foresight of our Old Timers years ago to sacrificially purchase 25 acres so in 2010 we could host five thousand for a Jesus-centered party.
God is on the move and we're just trying to keep up!

A few visitors commented to me in the registration area that they were impressed with how well organized things were!

I’m still in awe over the day. I feel it was a great day and went well.
As I stood there just looking over the adults and children that were there, my emotions got the best of me. I thought that every one of them were children of God and he agaped them all.
Everyone in “blue” was being used by Him to reach His children. Maybe they didnt know what it was, but many people felt and saw God’s love acted out today. My friends GOD SMILED on that corner today.
I talked to people of Colwood and others that had children that got eggs and candy today that said when thier child realized that other kids didnt get anything they reached in thier bags and shared what they had. Tell me kids can’t be an example to us all.
Let’s FIREUP and RAISE THE ROOF in worship and PRAISE HIM for all He’s done!!!

Mike and I were talking and he brought up that maybe in the history of Colwood, there was never so many people on the church grounds as on this day. Does anyone know if this could be a true statement? The Colwood team deserves a standing ovation!!! ( smiles and hugs to you all ! )

Hello, Pastor! I just wanted to share a word of encouragement with you today….
Hebrews 12:3 says, “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
As we rejoice in the amazing things that God is doing, Satan would try to steal that enthusiasm and praise to God by discouraging you. I’m praying that today, you will feel supernatural strength and power. Let’s link our shields so that I can help to protect you from the whatever might come your way this week. We’re in the same fight together. (and not against flesh and blood) You are surrounded this moment by a mighty hedge of protection!! My prayers are covering you and your family.

I would just like to let you know how amazing your service was on sunday morning. We live in Montrose but are both from Caro. We attend Colwood when we are in town. Justin and I were married there in may.
This is only the 2nd service I've attended since you came to Colwood. My husband experienced his 1st on sunday. We both left thrilled and are still talking about you and your service.
About the egg hunt - Our daughter did walk away empty egged. But, it was worth it anyways. She had so much fun that she really did make an issue about the egg hunt.
WE want to thank YOU for allowing us to attend. And we can't wait until the next weekend we are home to come to church service.
Thank you again,
Justin and Amanda Grzemkowski

I brought my son, Brice for his 1st time at Colwood, this Church Mom has been talking about and asking him to come with me for the past 2 years.
He was receptive, and called to tell me today that he got a personal phone call from Pastor Jon. He called to tell his older brother about the phone call today too.
Service was awesome, the Egg Drop was a huge success, can it get any better. You better believe it can. Praising God for all he does.

What can I say? There are no words that seem to accurately fit the events of Easter Weekend 2010 at Colwood. But then, how can one truly define God? Without question God covered that little corner in the thumb of Michigan. I am humbled, honored and simply overwhelmed that God allowed me to be a small part of what He wanted to do. I am struck with the thought that this is only the beginning. There are so many more people who need Jesus. Time to regroup and continue to focus on "Reaching the Lost at any Cost"!

I stand in awe of what God is doing here. Plus…it’s so much fun to watch it unfold!!
I used to doubt reports of this type of thing going on in other places. People, this is the REAL DEAL!!
