When I was on staff at NewSpring, I remember asking media guru Ken Wilson what one thing he would have done differently with media production if he could do it all over again (btw - Ken, if you're reading this, I do miss the Lost parties).
His quick response: "Everyone would have started on Macs."
I carried that nugget of tech-wisdom into Catalyst and am so thankful. Seriously, Apple has been a lifesaver time and again (especially iCal & ProPresenter).
Last year I made the biggest switch yet from my hard-to-use Crackberry to the iPhone. The adage is true: once you go mac, you don't go back.
Apple-crush aside, iPhone is vastly superior - - the library of free app's alone has become integral to my ministry prep.
Free iPhone Apps I'm loving at the moment:
The point of this blog post? Just that I appreciate Apple's ministry tools.
Any free app's I should snatch up?
I use the YouVersion bible app, it has dozens of popular translations (including NIV, TNIV, ESV, NLT, and Message).
Pandora app is amazing if you like to discover new music (also use on the computer as well, pandora.com)
The google app is nice for voice activated searches
I use gmail tasks and I'm able to access them on my iphone via a direct link to the service from my home screen (a lot of google apps will do this and create a custom iphone icon)

Voice activated searches?!
I'm hoping for turn-by-turn voice-directions on the GPS Map app.

I'm an app fanatic (do you doubt?). Current favorites:
Evernote (you're missing out if you aren't using this to collect your thoughts)
Remember the Milk (for To-dos, offline sync)
Tweetie (the most superior twitter client)
i.TV (Netflix manager, TV listings)
Beatmaker (demo of me using it here, http://vimeo.com/2601768)
Zombieville USA (just for fun)
