Amber & I had a little date night tonight. Because of my connections with the ReMarkables Team, I scored free tickets to Mark Lowry's comedy concert in Akron. It was hilarious stuff - he riffed on old age, denominations, all without a scripted set list!
The highlight was being escorted backstage during intermission to meet Mark in person (click the pic). He's a great guy - very cordial. He asked what I do. I said, "I'm a church planter." He replied, "A church PLANNER? What's that?" I should have just said that I'm a pastor.
I think it's funny that the backstage pic was taken in front of the women's baptistry.
I have a picture with him from when I was at Liberty. He was a pretty nice guy.

I grew up w/ Mark every year when my Dad would take me to his conferences. He had this old joke where he would call his bed the word just in case the pastor called he would be in the word. He would roll out of the word to turn his alarm off and then roll right back into the word. I'm glad to hear that your date night went well, had some fun and got to meet Mark (good pic of you 3.) I did laugh also about the womens baptistry I wonder if the water is more holier in the womens than the men's. Men stink more and are dirtier.
