One of the things that contributed to our decision to purchase our house last summer was that it was move-in ready. Even the paint colors in nearly all the rooms worked great with our taste! One room, however, that I knew would be at the top of my priority list for redecorating was the kids' bathroom. The paint color was neutral, blah, and even kind of looked pink in certain light. I waited until we adopted again to determine if the new look would be more boyish or gender neutral. I spent almost a month searching for the perfect, kid-friendly, gender neutral decor. Just when I was about to give up, I found what I was looking for in the clearance aisle (YAY!). So, a few weeks ago, the hall bath went from this:
Boring, right?
Here's the fresh, new, bright, colorful, kid-friendly version!
It was a pretty brave color palate for my typical taste and took two tries of paint color to get it right. I really love how bright and cheerful it is. I walk down the hall and it makes me *smile*. Josiah loves that it includes many sea creatures (one of his big fascinations right now). Hopefully he will get over that the walls were not painted blue - his first choice. I could use a few wall decorations at some point, but almost anything is better than boring brown with a pink hue!
