It's no secret on this blog that I *heart* Swagbucks! I use it everyday to earn "bucks" which I redeem for Amazon gift cards. I average about $5 a week. Recently I redeemed some to "buy" Josiah a Fisher Price IXL - something that costs $75! I got it free! Yay!
There are several ways that I keep the bucks coming. I search using Swagbucks everytime I am looking for something. I have been able to get some referrals - a huge help! I follow the twitter and toolbar for "secret" codes out there. I also participate in the daily polls and NOSO. Which brings me to my point...(I get there eventually!)
The daily poll for today was, "What method do you use for your monthly budget?" The answer options were: envelope system, quickbooks or other software, pencil and paper, combination of the above, I don't budget and other. I submitted my answer (combination of the above - I use excel, gazelle budget and envelopes) and saw the results. It is not even 9 am yet and already 29% of the people who took the poll today answered "I do not budget." Wow! Actually, I am surprised it is not higher, but we will see come the end of the day. Plus people using Swagbucks are probably a little more savy with money and may lean more to that end. Joe Sangl would be all over this!
We have experienced so much freedom in following a monthly budget over the last 2+ years! Not only that, but we have been able to utilize our money very wisely. I think in the last year and a half alone, we have paid off at least $35,000 of debt (a conservative estimate)!!! In the next few months, this is going to increase even more thanks to our budgeting plans! So people, get a budget! And then sign up for swagbucks to get free stuff that you don't have to use your hard earned dollars for!
I want to help these individuals prepare a budget!

If I could pay off 1/3 that much in a year and a half I would be ecstatic. Tell me how.
