Meet Jon and Amber
Although we did not learn of our infertility until we had been married for seven years, our heart for adoption began the day we said, “I do.” Our prayers for growing our family through adoption were answered with a son in 2006 and a daughter in 2012. Our children are our biggest blessings. If you choose us as adoptive parents, you will be answering our prayers of being able to continue to grow our family.
You may have not yet met us, but we have also prayed for you: for strength and clarity in your adoption plan, praying for your family and praying for the child you are now carrying. Our desire is to give your child a loving, caring home of opportunity.
Our Story
We met in high school, went to the Homecoming dance together and watched our love for each other mature. Our relationship grew in college through writing letters (yes, before email!) We were married in August of 1998. After both graduating from college and graduate school, we poured ourselves into teens’ lives through student ministry and counseling. In our seventh year of marriage, we discovered our infertility. This led to our lives being touched by adoption in 2006 with baby Josiah and again in 2012 with baby Ainsleigh.
We love spending time together and make family dinnertime a priority. We enjoy walks with our two dogs, playing games, silly dance parties and family movie time! We also enjoy vacations to places like Disney World and the beach.
Meet Amber
Fun-loving and detail-oriented, Amber holds a Bachelor’s degree in science and a Master’s degree in clinical counseling. While working part-time as a clinical counselor, Amber enjoys taking care of the kiddos and is passionate about creating family memories, reading and home decorating.

Meet Jon

As the senior pastor of a fast-growing modern church, Jon enjoys pouring life into people and seeing them reach their full potential. Both a serious reader and lover of comedies, Jon is the guy you want on your Trivial Pursuit team. He enjoys Daddy-time with the kids and is also in charge of caring for our two little dogs, Chloe the Wonder Pug and Slinky the Wiener Dog.

Family Life
Both of our parents live out of state, however, they remain close with us and our kids despite the physical distance. We visit with them multiple times a year and stay connected with frequent calls, texts, and video chats. Both of our parents are devoted grandparents and are eagerly awaiting another grandchild to love and spoil! Jonathan has a younger sister who is married with two young boys. Amber has two sisters. Her older sister is married with three children. Her younger sister is married with two young girls. Our children have no shortage of cousins to play with at family get-togethers! Our family means so much. They have walked with us through so many ups and downs, failures, and achievements. They have held us as we struggled through our infertility and will be there every step of the way as we embark on the journey of becoming parents again.
Home & Community
We live in a quiet subdivision of a small town. Our house is a 4 bedroom ranch with a finished basement and a large backyard complete with a playhouse and swing-set. We love having plenty of space for our family to comfortably stay for visits. The living room is where we read stories together, play games and watch the dogs play (can you say pug & wiener dog fight?). Another perk of our home is that it is bordered by a large open field in the back revealing deer and turkey trotting by each day.
Our town provides a great sense of community and access to parks, playgrounds and the library. There are often family-oriented events and festivals to occupy us. We also enjoy being actively involved with our church. Many community family events, in fact, are usually hosted by our church (the best being a helicopter Easter egg drop!).
Our Promise to You
As you continue to consider the options and plans before you, we hope that our story has provided additional clarity. We promise your child will experience grace, a “no strings attached” kind of love and forgiveness as they grow. We will emphasize education, fun, and quality time as a family. We promise to be there to cheer on your child in the happy moments. We also promise to be there to pick your child up when he/she stumbles along the way. Most importantly, we promise that you will remain a part of your child’s life. Although you won’t experience the everyday moments, your child will grow up in a home where not a day will pass that he/she isn’t reminded of your great love for him/her. We hope to meet and talk with you soon.
