* In the midst of all of life's busyness, I am really *trying* to not be too busy to stop and just play with my boy. We took some time out this week to run around the yard and play with bubbles - even Juliet loves this activity!
* Our house is going up on the market tomorrow! I keep joking that selling a house is going to bring out the perfectionistic obsessive side of me. Jonathan and I have been working almost non-stop the last several days - touch up painting, organizing, purging, cleaning, re-decorating for that model home look, etc. We are wiped out! PLEASE pray for our house to sell quickly and for a good price. We never planned to sell it this quickly. It would be nice to make at least a little money, but we are also just satisfied for it to sell fast!
* Being in the midst of transition makes it all the more important to save on groceries. I am so excited about my turn out at Giant Eagle tonight. Thanks to some great printable Kraft coupons and some other great ones from the paper! Everything just lined right up this week at Giant Eagle. I got 39 items for $29.51! I saved $50.55 after store promotions and coupons! To make it even better, I am also getting $9 off my next shopping order. So that makes it like I spent $20! I scored some free items too - Kraft BBQ sauce & Ragu.
*Finally, God never ceases to speak to me (thankfully!). I read some of this in My Utmost For His Highest today. It was just what I needed to hear. I was starting to let all the potential anxiety seep in and overtake me. I have moved before, but never with a 2 1/2 year old and never had to sell a house first! Thank You, Jesus, that You know our needs.
The first habit to develop is the habit of recognizing God's provision for us. Does it really matter that our circumstances are difficult? Why shouldn't they be! If we give way to self-pity and indulge in the luxury of misery, we remove God's riches from our lives and hinder others from entering into His provision. No sin is worse than the sin of self-pity, because it removes God from the throne of our lives, replacing Him with our own self-interests. Before God becomes satisfied with us, He will take everything of our so-called wealth, until we learn that He is our source; as the Psalmist said, "All my springs are in You" (Psalm 87:7)
